Mother Goose

Mother Goose Co-operative Preschool is a non-profit organization that has been active in the community of southwest Hamilton for over 40 years.

More than a school, our co-op is a community of parents joining together to support and encourage our children as they grow and develop. Mother Goose is a great transitional step for children to help them prepare for full time schooling.

Fundraising at Mother Goose serves to support the school's program development and it is also key to building community in our southwest neighbourhood. Our largest fundraiser is the much loved annual Mother Goose Easter Scavenger Hunt and attracts close to 1000 people (see below for more details). We have held a family-friendly Dance Party in addition to a variety of smaller fundraising initiatives throughout the year. In previous years, we have fund raised through Vesey’s BulbsPlanet Bean Coffee and Macmillan’s.

We are grateful to the individuals and businesses that donate items to these events not to mention the Mother Goose families who pull together to make these fundraisers tremendously successful.

Our current fundraiser is with Mabel's Labels - makers of waterproof, laundry, dishwasher safe personalized labels. For every order, Mother Goose receives a percentage of the proceeds. All proceeds go directly to classroom improvement. If you would like to support our school, please go to our fundraising page on the Mabel's Labels website.

The Scavenger Hunt is held every year on the Saturday of the Easter weekend from 10 am - 12 pm. Anyone and everyone from the neighbourhood, their family & friends are invited to attend. The Hunt is traditionally held at Highland Gardens Park (also known as the "Res") and includes an appearance by the Easter Bunny! Keep your eyes peeled for our flyers or check back here for more up to date information.
